Joe Griffo Senate
I have always approached elected office as a chance to solve problems, not pass them off to former or future leaders. We need to deal with our problems today and build a better future through hard work and cooperation. My past administrations have left behind a solid record that will serve as a foundation to my time as County Executive.

(Martinsburg, NY)- New York State Senate Candidate Joseph A. Griffo spent Saturday with an important sector of the economy in Northern New York. The 1st Annual ATV Rally and Expo brought thousands of ATV riders and owners to Martinsburg, NY.

“New York State needs to do more to encourage the safe use of All Terrain Vehicles in places like Martinsburg.,” said Griffo. “Currently the progress and success connected to ATV and snowmobile clubs comes entirely from hard working volunteers who enjoy the activity. The State needs to find ways to help these clubs and in turn inject millions of dollars into the local community.”

As Oneida County Executive, Griffo has worked hand in hand with Oneida County snowmobile and ATV clubs to make the industry a thriving part of the local economy.

Earlier in the week, the Candidate attended the annual Holland Patent Picnic and Concert at the Village Green. Griffo spent Wednesday evening with Holland Patent Mayor Michael Bennison and Village Trustee Fran Crumb.

“Mayor Bennison and Trustee Crumb are part of an active group of people in Holland Patent that make this event an essential summer time stop,” Griffo said. Those in attendance not only got the opportunity to enjoy first class chicken barbeque, they also heard from the popular band Classified.

That same day, Griffo also attended an Assembly Hearing on the proposed power line project by New York Regional Interconnect. He submitted testimony that voiced the County’s opposition to the project. The County Executive stressed the need for the community to stay united. “We must continue to work together as an 8 county regional coalition to stop this proposed power line. Any crack in our unity will be an opportunity for NYRI to succeed.”
